Many of us will experience slightly low mood from time to time.

Low moods can be triggered by a number of different factors; for example redundancy, breakdown of a relationship, bereavement, illness, job or money worries can all contribute. Often these events are beyond our control and there may be a knock-on effect; we might, for example, stop seeing friends or neglect our appearance.

Slightly low mood and mild anxiety should not be confused with more severe symptoms which may be related to serious conditions such as depression. Always seek medical advice if in any doubt.
