What should I ask my GP about the menopause?

The menopause experience is unique to each woman.

But when the menopause starts to impact on your life (and suck all the joy out of it) it’s important to speak to someone.

Before you see your GP, it’s really helpful to go prepared with a list of questions.

Not sure where to start?

Here’s a list of things to prepare before you see your GP.

  1. A diary of symptoms including information about frequency, duration, possible triggers, intensity, and any other notable characteristics.
  2. Details of your menstrual cycle, frequency, length, flow.
  3. Do your research and go in informed about options.
  4. Speak to friends or family and ask if they’ve noticed a difference in you. They might help you spot symptoms you’ve not considered as menopause related.
