How to cope with menopausal palpitations?
Lifestyle and diet have a huge influence over our bodies. So, introducing a few changes can make a massive difference to our health and well-being.
If you’re struggling with heart palpitations, consider trying the following:
- Say good-bye to caffeine. Yes, it tastes good and puts a spring in your step in the morning. But it’s not doing you any favours. Because coffee is a stimulant it’s more likely to give you a racy heart, than calm it down.
- Actually, it’s worth reducing or getting rid of all stimulants like alcohol and nicotine. Not only can they trigger heart palpitations, but also other menopausal symptoms like hot flushes and restless sleep.
- Making time to relax is great for your body and your mind. Try yoga, meditation, or even a hot bath - whatever works for you to help you slow down and unwind.
